Missfits Magazine

My good friend, Maddie and her best friend Courtney, has released her 2nd edition of her online magazine Missfits! If you have never heard of it, I recommend you check it out now! It includes a few contributions from myself and, anyone is eligible to submit work/poetry/articles/photos/ect.

"The Art Issue. We are the alternative; We are a feminist fashion magazine that focuses not only on haute couture, but empowerment. We are an open collaboration of young
women. We are the nonconformists. We are Missfits"

Why wouldn't you want to be a part of this?

Your contributions in this issue were my favorite part of the whole thing. I'm not just saying that either. I loved your poem.
Thanks for the encouragement with FIDM. I'm thinking I won't apply this year but wait until next year when I have a more established portfolio. Then I'll probably apply to both FIDM and FIT at the same time. And you're a sophomore this year right? So you will be applying in two years. Maybe then if I did end up getting into FIDM, we would go to school together! That would be so sweet!

Double comment, I just wanted to post a comment on your exceptional previous post. Which was incredibly well written and made me meditate for about an hour. I’ve seen so many unjust things happen to wonderful people including myself, because of my ethnicity and so on. At work uneducated ignorant co-workers rant about my ethnicity I live in LA California- the population is very diverse; am Native American, and Spanish on one side and Mexican on the other… my appearance to my opinion is fine and I really could care less what other people think of me but they make the stupidest comments its very frustrating not really about my looks because well they are very typical but about what am allowed to do and what MY PEOLE shouldn’t do pathetic!!!! I also have a friend who’s from Egypt and she always gets disturbing comments from people claiming she’s a threat to our country what!!!!??? she lives in a post 911 world and it really frustrates her, I e-mailed her the post to your blog and she also enjoyed your post. Thanks keep it up……………
