Across The Stars

Christmas is right around the corner and I honestly don't know what I want. My parents are just giving me money, which I prefer anyway. But ah! What am I going to do with it?! My first choice is shopping. I always go on a huge shopping spree (everyone knows I love Forever 21 and I get so many giftcards) the day after Christmas. And then my second choice was film. Originally I was going to buy a digital camera but then I changed my mind because I love film so much more. Finally, my third choice was.. Star Wars. Yes. I fucking love Star Wars. I love the movies, the books, the soundtrack, the video games, the show, the merchandise, ect. It started as a love that quickly became an obsession.

I just recently started reading the books. They're great. I recommend them if you're a huge SW nerd like me, they really go in depth about different characters, story lines, events and go beyond the movies. So for Christmas, I'm going to ask for books, the ones below along with another that's not shown.

Now that I'm on the topic of Star Wars, I have concluded that my sweet 16th will be Star Wars related.
Judge all you want, I love it too much to care.

One of my best friends, Nikki, also a huge SW fan, is helping me plan this delightful event that will take place sometime in mid-January (My birthday is on the 11th). I hate big parties with a ton of people. I prefer modest get togethers with close friends. Big crowds make me anxious, and I value intimacy. This party will consist of about five friends who are all welcome to stay the night. Star Wars marathons, trivia, dressing up as characters, talking about SW will characterize this birthday celebration. Nikki and I, both passionate artists, are going to decorate each room of the house as different Star Wars planets/moons with iconic characters/spaceships/places/species/ect. OH GOD I SOUND LIKE THE BIGGEST NERD BUT I'M SO EXCITED. We will serve SW cookies (I have cookie cutters shaped like Boba Fett, Yoda, Stormtroopers, and Darth Vader), probably have a kick-ass cake, and other food that represents something from SW (haven't figured out all the details quite yet). I have every soundtrack from all the movies and will be playing them all throughout the night.

And the best part is my mom agreed to buy me a 6 foot tall Darth Vader cardboard cut-out........

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(This originally was supposed to be a Christmas wishlist but I decided to entirely dedicate it to Star Wars)

Any other Star Wars meganerds out there? :)
Oh and expect more Star Wars related posts to come now that I've confessed my love.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't know what to wish from santa. I do know what I like, but I don't trust my relatives enough to ask those things from them.... It wouldn't be a pretty picture!

Awesome post. Just last night the hubby was teaching our toddler to speak into a plastic cup (for muffled effect): I AM YOUR FATHER.
